split_toe.jpg
ole split toe12393 viewsMonster 8 point buck, 22 inch inside spread. Have yet to have scored although estimated to score between 145 and 150. Deer was 4 1/2 years old. Shot at about 175 yards with a remington .243. About 200 lbs dressed.

side note: got the name split toe due to his tracks left when walking, his claws were always split open, so we started referring to him as "split toe". my father and I had been after this deer for a couple years, along with about 7 other guys who hunt the land. very elusive buck.

Buck Down!10833 viewsCalled him in with the HS Specialties Tru-Talker and Tink's #69 plus some Bob Kerschner's Silver Top Buck Lure. Found out later there were three scrapes down by the creekbottom and my buddy said eleven does shot over the hill after I shot. Guess he wanted to check out who was messin' with his does!BearClaw

1st Buck1597 viewsFirst time ever hunting big game. 2nd day of the season my husband spotted this giant buck. His tag was already filled, so this one was all mine. It was very exciting, I'm totally hooked. He is a 5x6 non-typical. jabbott96

Son's First Kill - Ram1952 viewsMy son wanted to go ram hunting for his 9th birthday. My wife wasn't too crazy about the idea of a ram shoulder mount on his bedroom wall, but agreed that he was finally ready to hunt. He used a .243 and took the shot from 60 yards. I couldn't be more proud of him. The best part was, I talked my wife into going with us (first time she's ever been hunting), so she got to be a part of his first hunt.orangegolfballs
